On 19^th August 2008, a precious moment happened in Cathay City.  Cathay Pacific Airways would sign the contract of MPLS VPN service with China Telecom that the project covered 50 nodes across 20 cities in mainland China and Hong Kong.

 

    There were over 30 people from Cathay Pacific Airways and China Telecom presented in this remarkable ceremony.  They came from 5 different departments including Airline Purchasing, Ticketing, Finance and e-service centre.  This not only represented the very close partnership between the two companies but also created a milestone for China Telecom to become a trust-worthy & reliable partner with Cathay Pacific Airways.

 

    Leading by Mr. Edward Nicol, the Director of Information Management & CIO of Cathay Pacific, he expressed that with the rapid business growth in China, Cathay required a reliable and high-quality business partner to support their growth in the region, and China Telecom definitely fulfilled their requirement.  He highly treasured the relationship with China Telecom, and believed China Telecom could bring Cathay Pacific more values in their coming business strategies.

 

    China Telecom (HK) International Ltd Chairman & CEO, Mr. Ma Yimin, would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank Cathay for choosing China Telecom as the preferred provider of the MPLS-VPN services in China. He was also delighted to witness this important moment with Mr. Nicol, Mr. Yang and dear friends and colleagues of Cathay and China Telecom.     Following the speech delivered by the management of both parties, Mr. Nicol and Mr. Ma signed the contract and exchanged the souvenirs. The contract-signing was ended by a group photo taken to memorize this joyful moment.
